Care instructions bamboo
Only a few fibers are as soft while being as durable as those made of bamboo – but just like every strong woman, even the strongest fiber needs a little bit of support here and there the to reach their full potential.
Bamboo, even in fully processed form, is to some degree antibacterial – this means you can do yourself, the environment and your favorite shirt a little favor and opt for airing it out instead of washing it after every wear. Whenever you do wash your bamboo fiber garments, they prefer the company of likeminded materials – neither highly absorbing or heavy fabrics, nor pieces with metal embellishments or zippers are allowed to join! Just let your little organic softies chill together in the delicates washing cycle with not more than 30° (86°F) and a little bit of mild liquid detergent.

As luxurious as our bamboo fabric is to the touch, it is also a little sensitive – at least when it comes to drying wrinkle free – the easiest way to dry it is by hanging the items without exposing it to direct sunlight. If there is still some wrinkling going on, set your iron to low temperature and try not to pull. If you think about it, it makes sense – we all experienced that the mix of heat and pressure has the tendency to wear us out a little faster… Even if you are in a rush, please do not use the tumble dryer, as the fiber is a little prone to shrinking under higher temperatures. If you want to speed up the drying process, roll you favorite garment into a dry towel and gently push on it, to get rid of excess water.
If, for whatever reason, your favorite piece did shrink, we got a little life hack: soak it in warm water mixed with baby shampoo. Afterwards, just lay the piece on a dry towel and gently pull to give the fabric its original shape.
The Emergency protocol for stains:
1st: be fast – the shorter the amount of time that that evil little stain stays on your favorite loungewear piece, the more likely it is that there will be no remnants in the end.2nd: don’t rub or tear – to much pressure can damage the fabric and creates a passage for the stain to enter into deeper layers of the garment; blotching or gentle scratching (especially with food stains like ice cream, chocolate,…) are the most effective way to practice damage control3rd: rinse – the best way to do this is by using running cold water. If you are on the go the life hack version is to use a generous amount of sparkling water. The carbonic acid contained pushes between fabric and stain and helps to wash it away.4th: relax – most of the commonly occurring stains are easily fought with a little bit of water and mild bleach free detergent. If the stain is on the more intense side, just treat it with a little bit of extra care before washing it as usual.
